Canada, is becoming a fascist country. Our Canadian Constitution, is null and void. Civil rights and freedom, are no longer valid, as, citizens are being stripped, of those rights. Guess who told me all of this? An, old German war veteran, he, fully understands the ramifications of what corruption does to a country. There is no honesty and truth in Canada anymore. That old vet said, he used to have the same feelings in Germany, as Canadians do now, about Canada. There is nothing good in Canada, for citizens to hang on to, the good Canada, is long gone. We no longer have, pride of country, all citizens can do is, hang our heads in shame for what, has become of Canada.

Did Campbell not sell our hydro, privately to his business friends? It is said, he bribed the Haisla Band not to block this sale. Citizens, are aware of Campbell’s dirty tactics, but there are rumored, gag orders on media coverage. We citizens know, our hydro is going to be sky high, as, BC Hydro, will have to buy back from these private owners, at an outrageous cost. This is just another, betrayal from Campbell. He is selling BC’s natural resources to the USA, as fast as he can, how will BC recover, with no resources, to recover with. However, Harper approves of, Campbell’s criminal activities because, he wants Campbell to push the HST through. Harper, had said, he did not want the HST, he then bribes Campbell, with money, and Campbell, will do anything for money. Canadian people, are aware of the corruption in Canada, and among the worst are, Harper, Iggy and Campbell.

This is the most lucid, accurate, and honest piece of journalism on the BC Energy Plan fiasco that I have read. I worked for BC Hydro for over 30 years, and can tell you there is absolutely no economic justification for what the BC Liberals have done. Their Energy Plan creates an artificial “need” for new generation resources, that can now only be filled by buying low value (but very expensive) power from IPP wind, biomass, and small hydro sites. All other options have been eliminated as matters of policy and legislation, including the use of Burrard and return of the Canadian entitlement to the Columbia River Treaty Downstream Benefits. Site C has been placed in limbo, but this is likely moot since the need for new supply simply isn’t there. Unfortunately Rafe, I don’t think you will get any answers to your questions to the Premier. However, I do have my own question: Why isn’t the mainstream media in BC all over this issue? In the 1990s, the Fast Ferries received a vast amount of media coverage due to their legacy of public debt, but the net costs to BC electricity ratepayers of the IPP component of the Energy Plan (which will be many more time that of the ferries) seem to go completely unnoticed by the mainstream fourth and fifth estates in BC.
